When we finished installing the blind, we followed the directions on how to open/close the blind and nothing happened. We thought we had a defective blind and was going to contact customer service. But before we did that, we decided to replace the remote batteries and now the blind works great. Obviously, the batteries were old. We hope the solar battery has a longer life span.

The screws that came with the blinds, couldn\'t be used with an ordinary screwdriver. had to use an Allen key.

The VELUX blind does the job but is grossly overpriced for the product. Compared to non-VELUX blinds, it is my view that a retail price of around 40% to 50% of the price charged would be considered reasonable. Consequently, as I require further VELUX blinds, I am now researching whether or not there are other manufacturers/retailers who can provide bespoke blinds for VELUX windows at a fair and reasonable price.
