I was quite nervous about having a go with the maintenance kit, removing an old blind, installing a new one and then installing an external awning blind on a Velux window which is about 17 years old, but I looked at the instructions and watched a few videos on YouTube, then had a go and it was straightforward and smooth. I really like that you include the little screwdriver and drill bit. I don't spend much time looking at my Velux but it's performing well and still looks good, and it's really helpful that your products are still fitting a 17 year old window. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed, because usually in life I encounter problems when I try to do basic DIY. I was easily able to manage the task without my partner's help.

Previous blinds were Velux with the side cords, which after many years service finally wore through. The tilt locking is a better solution in my view although the side channels re slightly wider; on a narrow window, GGL6, this is noticeable more then it would be on a larger width window. As the blinds are in a bedroom, this is not a problem.

These blinds are really good quality and easy to install. While buying several blinds was a sizeable investment I’m hopeful they last a very long time.

Blackout blind was easy to install on a GGL7, fly screen works like a dream - fldly to make and is a two person job on such a big window, but worth every penny! A+
