I have fitted a few Velux roof window blinds and I’ve never had any problems with the screws before. The screws supplied with my most recent purchase were very difficult to screw into the wooden window frame. I didn’t use a power screwdriver and toyed with the idea of drilling pilot holes. I eventually opted to replace the cheap Phillips head screws with my own supply of shorter sharper pointed screws which made the job much less physical, especially when fixing the blind to a window in a high vaulted roof, on a very tall ladder.

Just a shame you discounted the blinds even further on the 1st of August …I ordered on the 25th of July and could have saved £23. If I had waited another week . It seems unfair !!!

Delivery system woefully inadequate. Received email saying my package had been dispatched, then received a second email to say Velux could not say when the goods would be delivered. Phoned customer services who admitted they didn’t know what was going on.

I was very impressed but the ease to install, there was an extra screw in the pictures and it could do with some written instructions. The YouTube link worked but could have been explained in 1 sentence! It was pretty expensive but justified by the quality- still would be tempted to go cheaper for a less important room.

The installation instructions are exceptionally poor, having indistinct pictures only. The blind is easy to install only if you have done it before. For the first time installer, the method has to be researched on Youtube simply because of the lack of a few words on the pictures
