The side bars were too long and didn’t fit around the lower plastic lugs so had to be modified with a hacksaw. There is a 5mm gap where the blind doesn’t fit flush with the lower border of the Velux frame.

The only part of installation which was very tricky was (once the blind is slotted into place) keeping the blind fabric out of the way whilst trying to screw the fitting in to secure it. Two person job ideally.
