Our blinds were due to be delivered on 31st July but they actually arrived on 29th; fortunately, we happened to be at home to take delivery. Ordering the blinds was easy. But putting them up has proved not to be as straight forward as the wording on the package - “Pick & Click!” - suggested. The Ikea-like instructions, with diagrams but no words except “CLICK” were totally inadequate. The items illustrated were all there except for the pointy thing. (Presumably a bradawl which we needed to provide ourselves. And how many people have one of those?). Anyway, we gave it a go: Instruction 1 shows a hand in a yellow warning triangle. Does it mean ‘don\'t touch\'? Surely not, as the man in the picture is definitely holding the unit up to the window. The next two pictures were clear: slide the blind over the bits on the side of the frame and it will CLICK into place. It did go in (and at least it hasn\'t fallen down yet) but the only sound was an exclamation from me as the wretched thing drew blood and somehow forced a splinter into my hand. Two days later and the splinter is still firmly and somewhat painfully lodged in the crease of my index finger. Instruction 2. This went fine until we had to use the bradawl to make a hole in the wood of the frame. But the handle was too thick to allow it to make a right-angle. And the wood too strong for it to make much impression. Next, the little screws are shown homing in on the holes without any assistance. But presumably a screwdriver is needed. Ours has a nice wooden handle, so we had the same problem as with the bradawl, and no luck attaching those little side pieces to the frame. And there are seven more screws to go. At this point we gave up and will call in the professionals who will probably charge as much to fit them as the the blinds cost to buy.
