I had rented a room with a velux window which had been installed 10 years previous and had stopped working after 2 years. I called velux customer service who gave me some advice and i purchased a remote control. When the window still did not open i purchased a tool from the online store which i saw on a velux video on youtube The tool came i was able to open the window and reset it and then using the remote was able to open and close the window. Overall the velux window is a great piece of engineering and the product is supported by a great customer service as well as many velux videos to help with any problems. I joked with the landlord that they could of done this 8 years ago. Anyone could the whole Velux team makes it easy. Thank so much.
