Velux blinds are not very well supported. I have six around the house, both solar and electric. After the end of the warranty you are unable to get an engineer to call out.The network of approved engineers is poor and they are usually unwilling to attend your premises for a small job.We are elderly and cannot climb up to high ceiling blinds.Fortunately we know a reliable blinds engineer who can usually help us. However the instructions are very difficult to follow and not at all clear. It is usually necessary to call in to your technical support and be talked through the processes.I think that Velux blinds are treated as a secondary product to the windows and therefore are poorly supported. It is a great shame because the blinds themselves are neat, tidy and a very good product.
