The basic blinds to fit my old windows (GGL S06) are not the same quality as the previous ones I installed originally. The strings had broken & it would have been better & more environmentally friendly to replace the strings but this wasn’t an option. The customer services were excellent at helping me understand how tricky it would be to install the new blinds when I was struggling. It is definitely not possible to do on your own. You need to be an octopus & have flexible arms & fingers to secure the new blind in place as it doesn’t click in as before & the securing block is under the blind itself which leads to possible danage to the blind as you’re trying to get the screw into the frame. Afwful! I imagine the designers didn’t try to install it in situ. It was a horrible experience & the result is disappointing in comparison to the originals. It works as a blackout blind but just doesn’t look great in my opinion. Hopefully I won’t have to change it again for a very long time!
