Velux blinds are great quality and relatively easy to install if you have a bit of practical ability. HOWEVER ! They do break after a time [both of ours have after 12 yrs], and here the problem starts- it\'s very difficult to get the old fitting out in order to install the replacement. They\'re designed as though nothing will ever go wrong with them. I had to break the metal rods in the end, or risk gouging holes in the wood. This is quite a major deficiency, you could possibly injure yourself too.
