Dealing with Velux online is simple the choice is excellent and process couldn’t be easier. Delivery arrived 6 days earlier than promised which was great. The product was well packed without any excessive or unnecessary materials even the plastic window of the box is recyclable (one comment, could the throw away retaining pieces be made recyclable?). The product quality is outstanding and the installation instructions were thorough and easy to follow and as everything is made to precise measurements installation went without a hitch. The self calibrating movement is amazing and the difference these blinds have made to my to my room is beyond expectations.
Once fitted, the blind is lovely. However we had a nightmare fitting It. The screwheads were an unusual shape which meant none of our screwdrivers fitted them. It would have been helpful if you had included a tool for this. The holes in the blind slats did not align with the holes in the window frame (yes, we triple checked the reference numbers) so we had to make some new ones, which was tricky. All very fiddly and awkward and much more difficult than it appeared on the videos
Had to phone up customer service for advice Would have preferred local showroom to see products and colours
Great product, I did wonder if it was worth you including the small retaining squares that are plugged into the windows, as I damaged one on removal and it might have caused me delays if I had not managed to take one from another window that I am planning to repair later.
Ordered wrong blind however return process is convoluted, slow and difficult. Returns documentation generated but so far no collection by courier.
As long as the return goes as smoothly as it looks likes it\'s going it is going this will be an overall great experience. Regards Bill
